Internet Explorer (IE7) will accumulate cookies and other files from the web. Unfortunately, some of these files may be spyware or virus files. This will not solve every problem, but I have solved many accumulated problems using this procedure. This example was done on a system running IE7 and WinXP Professional.
 


Start IE7

(I am using IE7 Version
7.0.5730.11 for this example).

Click
"Tools"
and then click
"Internet Options..."

 

 

 

Then click on
"Delete files..."
then click "Yes"

You now wait
for this process
to complete.

Then click on
"Delete cookies..."

 

 

Then click "Yes and wait for the process to finish. This can take several seconds.

 

 

 

Then, after the process completes, click "Close"

Then click "OK" and the procedure is completed.
